New 2014 Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic PAM00531 24H allows you to instantly read a second time zone marked by a hand that completes one revolution in 24 hours.
Animated by the brand new self-winding Caliber Panerai P9003, P9001 evolution, not only stands for the main function GMT to 24 hours, but also for the power reserve supplied by two barrels connected in series – equal to a ‘maximum autonomy of 72 hours (3 days) – on the back of the movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The rotor loads the barrels in both directions (bidirectional) making it the fastest automatic charging.
Like most Panerai replica GMT watches the hour hand can be moved independently of the hands for minutes and seconds. During commissioning now comes into operation a second reset mechanism developed by the brand that stops the bar for easier synchronization with a clock signal.
The 24H GMT function is indicated by a sphere with arrowhead going to focus indexes and 24 hour numbers placed on the eternal part of the dial. Another feature is the dial at 9 o’clock marking the small seconds at 3 while a small window marks the current date.
The dial is made with the classic sandwich structure typical of Panerai replica watches since the 30s except that – instead of the dangerous tritium – a luminescent substance interposed between the two discs emerge from the holes made on the upper side at the indexes.
The case that measures 44 mm in diameter is made of steel with a glossy finish which contrasts with the unique system of patented clamping crown satin finish, hallmark of the Luminor. The water resistance of the Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic 24H is certified up to 300 meters.
The PAM00531 is secured to the wrist with a black leather strap featuring ecru stitching and brushed steel trapezoidal buckle personalized with the words Panerai. In each room there is provided a second strap parts, a tool for replacement of strap together with a steel screwdriver.
